PRODUCTS & MATERIAL

Yes! The leather we use for The Hantler is treated with a waterproof coating which not only enriches the color but also maintains the sustainability of the leather. However it is recommended to protect your leather product with water resistance spray every one in a while to keep the protection high.

Treat your Hantler well and it will last a lifetime. We advise to treat your Hantler with our leather conditioner every once in a while.

When using leather products you will notice that the leather starts showing signs of wear and natural aging after a while which contributes to the character of the product.

 

The Hantler is made from genuine leather, originating from Europe.
It’s processed in organic methods such as vegetable tanning and various forms of completely chromium-free tanning. Our hardware is produced within Europe as well.

No, unfortunately the production of fake leathers does a lot of harm to the envoirment. For this reason we won’t make any vegan harnesses for now. We do have a wriststrap available which doesn’t contain leather. This product is called ‘Wriststrap Teddy’. 

Our leather is finished with a waterproof coating, however it is possible that especially oiled leather, completely soaked leather and leather with bright colors may leave marks on light coloured clothing. A protection spray can help prevent stains on your clothes.

Weather exposure and general usage of the Hantler makes the leather become more beautiful and start to come alive. However, to keep your Hantler in  good condition and reduce dehydration of the leather you can apply our leather conditioner.

Apply a thin layer of the leather cream every once in a while and rub it in gently with a soft cloth. When your Hantler product gets wet, do not let it dry under heat. You will receive a care guide with your order. 

Your camera’s are locked in mulitple ways onto the Hantler. This way we make sure your camera is safe from falling once it is fastened correctly. Please have a look on our product video’s to see how you properly attach your camera’s to the specific products.

We are aware of the impact of leather production on our world.
Leather camera holsters have a very long life span and do not waste water in the daily wash. They are a very durable alternative to regular fabric or plastic holsters.

We only work with tanneries that use highly regulated modern tanning techniques and organic methods such as vegetable tanning and various forms of completely chromium-free tanning. We guarantee that all our products are made by hand in our own factory in the Netherlands.

On each product page of the Harnesses and Shoulder straps you’ll find a size chart. In this way you can find the right size for your fit. All other products are one size fits all or the measurements wil be described on the page itself. 

Yes this is possible! If you want to purchase multiple of the same products with the same logo, text or design (5+ products) we can give you a volume discount. Please contact us via info@thehantler.com

PERSONALISATION

Logo placement refers to the orientation of your logo on the strap. We offer three options. With the horizontal option, the logo is engraved in a way that allows the strap to be worn on either side. For the vertical option, the logo is rotated 90 degrees and runs along the full length of the strap. This can be positioned for either left or right, but it determines which side you’ll carry your camera on, so on your left or right hip.

No, it’s an additional option. You can order all products without engraving or personalization. If you decide you would like to get it engraved at a later date (after a year for example) you can reach out to us to discuss the possibility’s and prices.

After you have uploaded your file with your personal design or company logo, a member of our team will check it. We’ll send you a free digital sample via your account first. Once you approve this sample and are happy with the design we start to create your Hantler order.

We aim to send you a digital sample within 4 business days. We check the files ourselves, which can sometimes lead to a longer waiting time.

Preferably a vector based image file, such as a PDF-file. We will personally check your file to see if it’s suitable for engraving on your Hantler.

If you don’t have a vector file, upload the best and highest quality file you own. We will be in contact with you about the options and possibilities. Mostly a high resolution JPEG or PNG works fine.  

Yes, this is possible! If you ordered your strap somewhere else or ordered it without an engraving and now changed your mind it’s possible to add the engraving later on.

Yes we can! We can do a replacement of the backpiece so you will have your new logo on your older strap or harness. Please send us an email at info@thehantler.com and we’ll send you all the information about this process. 

No, our products will be shipped as you will find them in our shop. In this way we can give you a long warranty and our full service if needed. 

SHIPPING & GARANTUEE

You can find the current shipping time on the productpages itself. In general it is 1-3 business days for products without an engraving and within 7 business days for products with an engraving. Are you in a rush? Please send us a message before you place your order to get an accurate shipping time. Most of the time we can help you out to get that harness right in time on your doorstep for that important wedding to shoot!

We ship internationally from the Netherlands. Not sure if we can ship to your country? Contact us via our contact form.

All orders over €125 are shipped for free within The Netherlands and Belgium. All orders over €300 are shipped for free within European Union.

For all other orders we rate shipping costs. You can check your shipping costs by entering your country at the checkout page.

We mostly use PostNL, DHL & DPD for shipping our packages locally and internationally.

When your order is packed and shipped, you will receive a tracking link via email to safely track your order.

 

If applicable, the recipient is responsible for all customs and import taxes that may apply. Please check this before you order. 

Unused and undamaged items can be returned in the original packaging and will be refunded within 30 days. We do not accept returns on items that have been used or personalized. We request that you read our refund policy for any terms and conditions that apply.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you are unhappy with your order. We will try our very best to find a solution for you.

Please note that we do not refund the original shipping costs, nor are we responsible for the return costs of your order.

We provide a 5 year warranty on most of our products starting from the date of purchase (check the product page for more warranty information).

If your product breaks in the warranty period we will repair it for free (depending on the warranty of the specific product). Please note that we are not responsible for the shipping costs if you send it to us for repair. Please head over to our terms & conditions for more information.

We offer many different payment options. In our checkout form you can choose your payment method which include credit card, IDeal, direct bank transfer & Bancontant.

This is only possible if we didn’t start producing your order (mostly within 24 hours). Please contact us as soon as possible so we can update you about your order status and if it’s possible or not. Orders without engraving can be returned within 14 days. 

There is  a possibility the conformation email landed in your spambox, please give it check. If you have not received the order confirmation and you are not sure whether your order has been processed, please contact us.

Your invoice will be sent directly with the order conformation via e-mail. 

When you fill in your VAT number during checkout and select your country, our system automatically checks whether VAT needs to be charged. This is done through the official VAT VIES system, which you can find at: EU VATNumber Validation.

You can check if your VAT number is recognized as valid there. If it is, our system should automatically remove the VAT once you enter your VAT  number.
